Future and Rick Ross just paired up to deliver a banger. Released yesterday, That’s a Check is Future’s best song in a while.
That’s a Check features the lyrics we’re used to from a Future song. He speaks about foreign girls like in Low Life, saying, “This bad Ethiopian gave me becky (I swear to god)… This blonde ghetto broad gave me a becky… And my Venezualen yeah, gave me a beckey.” Future talks about his foreign girls all the time during his songs, however, he somehow finds a way to keep it fresh.
Rick Ross’ part only adds to the song’s value. In Rick Ross’ verse, he raps about lean and success. When flexing about his house (as one does), he alludes to the movie, Scarface, saying, “Hundred room mansion, now I think I’m Scarface (boss).”
These lyrics are combined with a great beat– typical of Future and Rick Ross. Overall, it’s a song worth checking out. 8.5/10
